OHS Policy

COMMITMENT

The management of Trazlbat Pty Ltd is committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of its workers and any other people who may be affected by this organisation’s operations. In securing workplace health and safety, Trazlbat strives to pursue best practice in WHS and to fulfil its statutory duties with regard to WHS at all times.   

RESOURCES

All resources in terms of personnel, plant and equipment, time, effort and financial outlay commensurate with the priority which Trazlbat places on WHS will be made available in order to comply with all relevant legislative,  standard requirements and code of practices.

OBJECTIVES

Trazlbat will ensure that:

  • an effective risk management system is introduced and maintained to ensure that all workplace hazards are identified, the associated risks assessed and appropriate control measures introduced to eliminate and or control these risks.
  • all employees and contractors are appropriately trained, supervised and provided with adequate information to undertake their duties safely and effectively.
  • workers and their representatives are consulted on relevant WHS issues on a regular basis.
  • all work systems, plant and substances are subjected to testing and comprehensive risk management processes prior to their introduction.
  • all necessary registration, certification and licensing requirements are complied with.
  • appropriate records are kept in relation to workplace health and safety.
  • Appropriate records are kept to ensure that all visitors to the workplace are briefed on safety and adequately supervised to ensure workplace health and safety.
  • all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported, duly investigated, recorded and appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken.
  • this policy is regularly monitored and revised in the light of legislative, best practice or organisational changes and communicated to all employees, associates and interested parties.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing Director and the executive board are responsible for the effective management of workplace health, safety and welfare by ensuring  appropriate support and resources.
  • QSE Manager (as the management representative) is responsible for effective communication and co-ordination among all areas of the organisation to ensure management of workplace health, safety and welfare..
  • Managers and supervisors are responsible, within the scope of their authority, for ensuring that the objectives of this policy are integrated into work practices and continuously monitor, review, analyse and improve inline with organisational goals.
  • Employees are responsible to take reasonable care and carry out their duties in a manner which does not adversely affect their own health and safety or that of others. Employees must cooperate with all of workplace health and safety initiatives.
